Anywho two gorgeous girls and crazy hair equals muchos fun.
The shots look amazing. Il certainly make a point to add them too but I have such a soft spot for backstage pics.

L.O.V.E LOVE

Once more the kings of cool have taken us to school. Lessons this NYC fashion week from the big bosses of smashin' fashion Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang include washer woman hair ties, bold stripes, braids and tan leather skirts with knee high grey socks.
My verdict on both these collections= sweet as pie exterior with a twist of don't mess with me. In other words -seriously feminine and as a result "me likey."
Lets be honest that it is no surprise these were the standout however i also drooled over Proenza Schouler's collection. It may because of my current obsession with navy but it may and probably does go deeper than that. I did like their tailoring (masculine but sexy) and did i see feathers (?) anof course their fluro yellow heels. Also i would give up my first born for the fluro yellow tie dye dress that Irina Kulikova wore. MEOW!
P:s on a side note these heels triggered us into overload and we were determined to style some them in somewhere in our mag sooner rather than later. Check out this email below however. Someone is not as into them as us.

Hello,

How are you?
Do you have any neon/fluro heels?

Please send images if so?
Thanks so much

Where has this chick been? Has fluro not forced its way into everything for the last god knows how many seasons? Also is she paying out my styling there or what?
I have one word for her: BLACKLIST

Am I gaga for Lady Gaga?

So, some of her music is catchy, I would love a disco ball bra and everyone secretly wishes they could walk around in cute knickers and heels everyday but is Lady Gaga taking her costume aesthetic too far?
She is starting to freak me out. I probably wouldn't even comment if she wasn't starting to make ripples in the fashion world. I am not a pop star bashing blogger this honestly does come from a fashion faux pas stand point. So, on that note I will say how great she looks in the two shots below. They are dramtaic, sexy and beautiful all in one.

I really really hate wigs for a start but the oversized bow made from hair she ALWAYS wears was going too far. Now we have pink, blue and purple plastic looking hair on her every second day. She recently stated in V mMagazine (which is where I got all of these pics) that she doesn't want to do what is safe but what she thinks is beautiful. I think thats fair enough but most of it has gone beyond the dramatic and into the drag. On that note do her costumes not seem far too impractical for the intensive dance routines in her videos?

As I said I found all of these pics in V Magazine which as a mag I simply adore. The photos above I think are quite beautiful and were shot by Sebastian Faena. The ones below further my point about the OTT syndrome and were shot by Mario Testino. All amazing photos by amazing photographers and I know that she obviously hadn't styled herself here but they are prime examples of her aesthetic and hence inspired this post.

I'm sure she is an art director's wet dream but for me i think its gone far enough. Please tone it down lady legs.

Lara Stone

What? As if this is even Lara Stone??? I cannot believe how different she looks. What a difference new hair and eyebrows can make. I love her as an icy blonde but she definately still looks to die for here. So I'l allow it.

I hope this doesnt become a trend with all of the modules though.

Style.com told me so

Style.com is as usual on the ball and telling me all the latest from fashion heavy metropolis's such as New York and London. What did i learn today? I learnt whose the new who on the front row and whose got the fashion royalty crown...for now.

We all shamelessly stalk the latest "it" girls and boys even though they generally don't do much to deserve that much attention however this bunch may actually be contributing to the world in more ways than perfume lines and porno films.

For example, Aurel Schmidt may be as blonde, skinny and fake tanned as Paris Hilton but she is actually an uber cool, successful and I must admit quite prolific artist. She is emerging on the New York art scene with her works that heavily revolve around bugs and corpses. Not a chihuahua or tiara in sight. i promise.

Or the teeny tiny Tavi Williams who is only 13 and is wowing fashionistas all over the world with her very savvy and extremely insightful fashion journalism. The popularity of her blog "Style rookie" has led her opinion to be of such value that she has written for Interview mag and been the cover star of Pop mag. Crazy town? No, this pocket rocket means business she told the world that she was tired of Christophe Decarnin of Balmain was doing the same thing each season. Oh no she didn't! Watch out Anna Wintour!

The Honorable Sophia Hesketh is another example although i may need to convince you of this. Yes she is an heir to her very wealthy father's lordly estate (yawn!) and so has all of the perks of such, not dissimilar to most "it" girls. Need i mention Paris again? Any who, despite her disgustingly privileged lifestyle she is actually a super talented employee at Japanese Vogue. I admire anyone who could keep up with the creativity in that magazine.

Okay so only three examples of actually useful people. Everyone else is the usual mix of heiress/model/struggling actress or professional party goer but still, they have nice shoes and go to extravagant parties. That's good enough for me.

Look out for them,

Kaiser Karl does it again.

Karl Lagerfeld shot this story with Raquel Zimermmann. Isn't it amazing? I haven't ever seen anything like it. He really is such a creative force.

I adore how strong her stances are and her body looks phenomenal. The styling is spot on especially with the blonde, spiked wig and the red Prada heels.

I think it is superb how he has treated the photos to have that watercoloured effect. I would love to know what this effect is called.

The story appeared in V magazine and is one of many iconic stories they have been luvky enough to publish.

Just thought I would share

Smoking Hot

The shots above are just some from a story styled by Vanessa Coyle and photographed by Mari Sarai called "Miami Heat." It is a seriously chic take on Miami style. The quintessentially beach to street city is a mix of colour and life that Vanessa Coyle has brought to the fashion fronts in an unashamedly quirky but impressive way.

Coyle took the parties, sex and vibrancy of Miami and mashed it all together but, don't get me wrong...it worked. These are some seriously hot shots with some wild outfits.

Think cropped t-shirts, over the top costume jewellery, neon brights, leopard print, zebra prints and turbans all layered on top of each other. Oh and on the beach. Wacky? Tacky? errrr..no!

Model Masha Novoselova shines with sex appeal and high fashion fire. Her body is absolutely enviable and the way she delivers each shot is of a standard rarely seen.

I would be a happy gal if i could deliver storys even half as impressive as this.

Enjoy
