Alice McCall: Darlinghurst
Alice McCall is finally opening her own flagship store this November in Darlinghurst in Sydney. Considering her longstanding success this is much later than I would have expected however, I'm pleased all the same. Expect her to become neighbours with our other favourites on South Dowling Street, sitting happily alongside stores Capital L and Desordre.
"Everything’s just going so well with the label at the moment, particularly with 'The Accordion Girls'. What I’ve been doing is really focussing on doing great product – the aesthetic of the product as well as the quality. And our products are amazing - it’s selling out. We’ve had reorders on mycatwalk.com.au before we’ve even dropped the product into store. Twice. They’re substantial, massive reorders and our own online boutique is going over target every week so that was a great indication that a store is going to be well received," Alice says.

Paparazzi 101:
Spot the famous fashion faces below:
Carine Roitfield, I was so happy to see her and this was the first of many spottings. She looked very low key everytime she turned up and just walked casually through the masses trying to mob her. I was impressed with how elegant she was.
Anna Dello Russo would kill me if she saw this photo but the Japanese Vogue big wig appears so laid back I'm sure she would forgive me. Everyday she pops out another killer ensemble. I want her wardobe! My friend Emilie posted something kinda funny about her. Look here: http://emilieartdesign.blogspot.com/2010/10/i-heard-funniest-rumour-today.html#links
- Family residences: Geneva; Rio de Janeiro; Trancoso, Brazil
- Heritage: Her grandfather Brando Brandolini d’Addadescended from a noble Venetian family with its own palazzo on the Grand Canal; her grandmother Cristiana is a sister of the late Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli; her maternal grandfather was Prince Jean-Louis de Faucigny-Lucinge
Enough said.
Thats Julia Restoin Roitfield daughter of French Vogue editor Carine Roitfield. She is increasingly popular in the fashion world and she has been given campaigns such a Jil Sander and Tom Ford etc. Some people have all of the luck!
This camp looking man on the right is Peter Marino. He is a big time architect from NYC who does all of the stores for LV, Chanel etc. Check him out here: http://www.interviewmagazine.com/culture/peter-marino/
I saved the best until last. How beautiful is this picture? She was teeny tiny so I needed to zoom big time. She didnt give the press long though and was gone before I knew it. L.O.V.E!
No rest for the wicked.

Jumping on the band wagon for Street Style: Paris Fashion week.
I have all of your faves from Paris Fashion Week, Christine Centenera, Susie Bubble, Lily Donaldson, Alexa Chung, Olivia Pallermo etc just to name a few but do treat this as a lesson in Paparazzi 101. It is hard to hustle the paps at these events I have learnt so please excuse the fact that these simply aren't very good photos. At least you know that I haven't ripped them right of the Sartorialist right?
Charlotte Dellal looks so elegant in this look. It really suits a fiery red head. Meow!
Anna Dello Russo's pins are in mint condition. I love her crazy braids with this leopard print wizz bang of a dress. If you have it flaunt it!
More leather but put together in two opposing tones. Divine! Christine always gets it right. I must admit I had a hard time getting passed all of the Japanese bloggers to get her pic. They love her!
This girl's blouse was so pretty and was made with lace and pearls. I thought it was vintage but she had made it herself. If only she had picked better shoes this outfit would score a nine out of ten.
This chick from Philadelphia was a shape shifter and a half. I saw her three days in a row and she looked so different everytime. This look suits her much better than the grunge look she wore the day before. She belongs on the seventies show!
This chick was decked out in American Apparel from head to toe. Its so different in Paris as it has so much more vintage than here in Sydney. They also don't merchandise the store like a its a Supre store just between you and I.
Susie Bubble! One of my favourite bloggers. Love the big pockets on your blue coat.
I loved this girl's large orange clutch. So daring!
Sooooooooooooo Euro but, in a good way. I noticed fur was everywhere tooin Europe. This particular type was of the Mongolian variety. Not bad at all.
OMC! So much Chanello. L.O.V.E!
Lily Donaldson is heaven! She is never without her denim cut offs. I now see why as she makes them look so great with just about anything, even a boring old pussy bow blouse.
This look is so on trend. I think it is especially well executed here with the edgy shoes. 10 points!
Could you be prettier?
No words for this one! Too perfect for words.

Hot tomale! Leather is everywhere and on everything in Europe. The belt and harness confuse me here but that doesn't mean I don't like it.

Its all in the detail.
I love Tommy Ton from JakandJil.com and obviously so does style.com. They had him on the streets and at the shows in Paris. Here are some of my favourite up close and personal pics from him.
Take notes, these gals know how to accessorize.
